With Regards to our entry system, 

Please note each committee gives the association limits on how many competitors they would like per event.  Once entries are closed the computer does the draw based on the event limits we are given - once the limits are met randomly based on preferences, the remaining competitors are put in the slack.  Throughout this season, in any event, this may happen based on the number of competitors, and the number per event each committee will allow.  Even though members give a first and second preference, due to the number of competitors, you may still draw a third preference. It will be as fair as possible with everyone having their turn drawing a preference they did not choose. 

A reminder to the Ladies Barrel Racers,

Read your rule books regarding your barrel duties, it is your responsibility to know and complete the duties.  Fines may be assessed if duties are not completed.

Please take the time to read the following important information;

 With regards to Rodeo Entries….

We are asking our members that have the capability to enter online, to please utilize this way of entering the rodeos. 

Online entries work…..please follow the instructions carefully…

• It is imperative - If you do not receive a confirmation email of your online entry by the end of entry day, simply send again or call the office and leave a message.  Any later and we cannot guarantee your entry to the rodeo.
• You must send the entry in the proper format…not just a generalized email sending your information. 
• Please follow the online instructions on the correct ‘format’ to use.  i.e. your entry should look like this…
   

1. #1234 Jessie James
2. Denote two preferences such as;  1^st perf; 2^nd perf;  or  2^nd perf, Slack
3. SW, CR
4. #4777 Tim McGraw
5. BR

(no need to list preferences twice, as they are traveling together) 

• To Guarantee you will be buddied, you must be entered at the same time.  The buddy system is limited to 4 persons or  2 teams.

 For all entries….

• The computer looks you up by your card number not your name.
• MEMORIZE your card# and your buddies etc.  If you have someone do your entries for you, give them a copy of your member #. 
• We need it every time you enter. 
• Fines may be assessed for those that require there card # looked up for an entry.

 Timelines…..

• Email entries are generally Monday - Tuesday  unless otherwise stated. 
• Phone entries are generally Wedenesday 10am-3pm
• NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED

 Preferences….

• If you choose ‘Out’ as your second preference, be prepared to draw OUT. 
• Listing OUT as your second preference does not guarantee you that you will get your first preference; everyone will have the opportunity at a 'fair' draw. 

 CALL-BACK

• Online Call-back is provided as a courtesy, and is not deemed inclusive.
• Call Backs are generally the Friday after entries 10am-1pm, unless otherwise stated.
• Should you do your call-back by viewing online and you find a discrepancy, you will need to email the information to the office or call the office by the next business day.
• Please do so only once and allow time for processing. 
• If you call the office with a discrepancy outside of the provided timeline, it will be too late and changes cannot be made.

 The CRA office hours…

• Will be from 9am – 1pm, Mon-Fri and closed on Holidays.  Every effort will be made to return phone calls missed during office hours.  Please provide a phone # you are available at if you require immediate assistance. 
• Messages left outside of office hours will be returned the next business day.

With regards to the Chinook Rodeo Association’s Official News source…

• Our official news source will be the Rodeo Connection.  If you would like to subscribe to this paper, please fill out a form and send it to them directly.  The CRA will no longer be involved in handing in subscriptions.
• While it is our intention to provide the paper with the most up-to-date information, we want to note that occasionally some information may not get advertised due to short time lines of approval, etc.  and make note that  the official CRA website has the most up-to-date information.  Should a rodeo not be advertised in the news source but on the web-site the rodeo will still count towards points/money won for the finals.
  • If you do not have access to the Internet perhaps you can have a friend or family member check for you if you are inquiring about up-dated information.

With regards to standings…

• A motion was past at a meeting of the Board of Executives and Directors stating -  if there is a discrepancy in the standings that are posted on the website you must notify the office by October 2/09 or the standings will remain as posted on the website for the 2009 Finals.

·  Please continue to send in what you would like to see on our webpage.  We will try and have the most up-to date information on the site and have information posted as soon as it is available.
 

Suspended Lists

·   Please remember if you are named on one of the following suspended lists, that we hold current  as of entry day you will be unable to enter the rodeo until your name is cleared off.  CCA, WRA, LRA, CPRA, CSPRA, FCA.  Others may be included not listed here.
