Bareback, Bull Riding, and Saddle Bronc

As per our rule book the payouts are broke down strictly by the total dollars in the pot.  The problem we are running into is that, the rodeos with a large sum of added money  are saying to pay more then how many people are entered.  So the money that is not being paid in the standings is being paid to contestants in ground money.

For Example --

In Magrath in the Bareback there were 4 contestants entered.

The total pot was $1035.00 which pays 6 holes.

1st - 300.15, 2nd - $248.40, 3rd - $196.65, 4th - $144.90, 5th - $93.15, 6th - $51.75

Being that there were only 4 people entered, the money from 5th and 6th (144.90) was automatically put towards ground money.

To avoid this problem, the Chinook Rodeo Association is going to adopt a scale similar to the other Associations, in which the payout is determined strictly on number of contestants entered in that event.

1 - 4 entries = 3 payout

5 - 7 entries = 4 payouts

8-10 entries =  5 payouts

11-15 entries = 6 payouts

16-20 entries = 7 payouts

We believe this is a pro-active solution helping the Roughstock people having count more money towards standings, instead of the ground.
